HOLIDAY GREETINGS FROM NORTH ICELAND

Today is the winter solstice and the shortest day of the year in the great white north but tomorrow the days already grow longer, and our ski season gets closer! To celebrate this and the holidays we have, as in years past, decided to give back to our local community. Our Kids Ski Initiative, now in its third year has been a great success and we will be continuing to strengthen that program with more equipment and resources in the new year. In addition, we will be hosting ski touring workshops in this coming season for students in Dalvík Elementary School where we will introduce students in grades 9 and 10 to the wonders of backcountry skiing here on the Troll Peninsula. It is our firm believe that by providing these opportunities to our youth we are creating an awareness and appreciation of our incredible nature and surroundings here at home that will encourage them to be active and take full advantage of their amazing backyard. All of this is possible with your help and participation as our guests here in Iceland.
